Wyndia is a slave girl brought to Naofumi by the Slave Merchant to help populate his village. For a long time, Naofumi called her Taniko because she reminded him of a character from his world surround by giant worm who live in the wind valley, tani (谷) meaning valley and ko (子) meaning child. She was raised by the Dragon that was killed by Ren.
She is not the type of person who would enthusiastically vie for revenge. Wyndia has shown leadership ability, during the brainwashing incident. Recently, Taniko’s developed a sort of switch where she occasionally becomes very dark and negative, in times like when she extorts bandits and threatens enemies; Naofumi was indirectly responsible for this since he would use such interrogation methods on enemies, thus this eventually rubbed off on both Wyndia and Eclair Seaetto. In the village, she happily plays with Gaelion, the Caterpillands, and the other monsters.
Being raised by a dragon, Wyndia has a fondness for dragons.
She was taken care of by the adult Gaelion as a child, along with the rest of his children. When Ren came to slay Gaelion, she was protected along with the other children, and as such survived the incident. However, soon after Gaelion's death, slave drivers arrived and enslaved the survivors from Ren's crusade. Later on she was found by the Slave Dealer and offered to Naofumi, who purchased her to help with his village.
She learned from her father. She's good with magic attacks, among the other slaves this is something that she can take pride in. Her magic seems to concentrate the surrounding energy and release it. Windia, was taught holy water's Ability Restoration by Sadina.
Using the Dragon Pulse, she has to figure out what equals Fire. Windia can borrow the earth’s power and still make fire. From Earth + Darkness, she somehow solves for the Darkness, and converts that to flame.
「Dark Firebolt」Summons black flames that burn the monsters.
「High Fire Blaze」A joint attack, with Gaelion, A large ball of fire appears from Gaelion’s mouth and flies towards the enemies.
Taniko is in the second group of slaves owned by the Slave Merchant to be purchased for Naofumi's village. c139
She wasn't part of the group that found and brought back to the village the first monster egg they found together while training as a sort of trophy. She spoke against Naofumi to plead to keep the newly hatched monsters. He hesitatingly agreed to keep it. c143
Taniko appears quite benevolent about dragons when a flying dragon egg was sent to Rock Valley by a mysterious person/group. She mentions a Dragon Emperor that would not allow other dragons to run wild and procreate without regard to their partner. c162

Ratotil Anthreya: Windea and Rat have became rivals in their treatment of monsters. Windea believed that monsters should get strong through battle and experience, while Rat opted for strengthening them through modification. Their opinions often clashed. Sometimes it appears that they hate each other. However, Windea’s education is severely lacking so most of the time it seems that Rat is just toying with her.
