Welst (?) was part of the original group of adventurers assembled after the hero summoning to join with their chosen hero.
Appearance[]
Welst wields a cane that gives off an expensive feeling. In addition to a long robe, it has intricate embroidery stretched over the trim. On his head is a needlessly pointy hat, made of good material, the stereotypical clothing of a mage you would find in a child’s storybook.

Background[]
His family is nobility within Melromarc. Among the companions that were in service to Itsuki, he had been there the longest.
Chronology[]
Volume 1[]
He chose to party with Itsuki Kawasumi and followed him in all adventures.
Volume 5[]
He was one of the ones who conspired to remove Rishia from the party and who broke Itsuki accessory and framed Rishia.
Volume 7[]
He, along with other party members, accompanied Itsuki to fight the Spirit Tortoise but they saw that Itsuki had tried in vain and had failed to stop the Spirit Tortoise. This caused them to realize that the battle was futile and as a result abandoned Itsuki, which allowed Kyo to capture him along with the other three heroes.
Relationship[]
Itsuki Kawasumi (former)[]
Welst was assumed to have respect for Itsuki as he immediately chose to accompany the bow hero from the start. Welst like Itsuki had a lot of pride and did not like being showed up by anyone else, this was especially evident when he conspired with the other members of the bow heroes party to frame and banish Rishia after she had assisted Naofumi during the wave at Cal Mira which gained her notoriety over all of them. However in reality, Welst did not care for Itsuki at all as he only cared about himself which was shown when he along with the other members of the Bow Heroes Party abandoned Itsuki during the battle with the spirit tortoise.
Welst would reunite with Itsuki later on along with the other members of his party and Bitch (Malty), they worked together to trick Itsuki into fighting in underground battles and win money from them. Welst and the others used the money for themselves while lying to Itsuki that the money was for the poor. After learning that Naofumi had arrived to find Itsuki, Welst along with his party members and Bitch abandoned Itsuki leaving him with their debt. This in combination with learning that he had been lied to and used broke Itsuki completely.
Itsuki's Party[]
Itsuki's party remained fairly consistent since he was originally given a party which allows the group to establish a rough hierarchy. Mald was considered the first in command after Itsuki, with Rojeel after him. Welst and the Spear Girl were in the middle with Rishia at the bottom until she was ejected. Those at the top got preferential treatment compared to those at the bottom. Eventually, Itsuki's party abandoned him and at least some fought with the Third Army.
